It was an honor to lead 11 strong HIMs alongside Penny Pincher on this glorious AO of our Region. Thank you Gauge for giving us the opportunity. There were also 3 runners at this AO. Some great times were had by all and the mumblechatter was awesome.
If you have not been to this AO yet, you are truly missing out. At 0700 Penny Pincher took the helm with the Warmup.
15-Min. Led by Penny Pincher (Could just call this The Thang and go eat).
All in the COP: T-Merkins, Plank Jacks, Flutters, Staggered Merkins, Grave Diggers, Hello Dollies, Boat/Canoe, Overhead Claps.
Thankfully he was done and left to go to a meeting.
We took a short mosey down to a hill of rocks that Italian Job found the last time he was the QIC here. At this point YHC requested that the PAX pair up with someone they know well. Then partner one ran up the hill and back down while the other partner performed exercises at the bottom-then flapjack. Each partner performed the exercises twice before moving to the next. The exercises were Dan Taylors, Jack Webbs, and Flutters.
Then we took another mosey back toward the COT and lined up at the top of a grass hill where we performed Jacob’s Ladder with the following exercises: Burpees at the bottom and Bombjacks at the top.
Then we headed back to the parking lot where we lined up along the parking spaces and faced the ones in front of us. Then we did 7’s with Diamond Merkins on one side, Bearcrawled to the other line, Big Boy Sit-ups, and Crab Walked back.
Anticipation-There was a lot of talk on Friday concerning the three Rock Hill AO’s that should of created plenty of anticipation. I mean, no matter which AO you were going to, it was going to be a great workout and a fun time.
However, with anticipation comes other emotions as well, especially if you are not ready for what you are about to face. Fear, anxiety, curiosity, even doubt tend to creep in. I am sure this is how any FNG feels when they are asked to attend a WO the first time. CONTINUE TO EH!.
This also goes for sharing our faith with others. We are all anticipating someone in our lives to give us what we cannot achieve for ourselves. For me that person is Jesus Christ. As I live my life I must me alert and sober minded always searching for ways to serve with an anticipation of His return. This is the season for anticipation.
1 Thessalonians 5:6-11 ‘So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.’
