I welcomed the opportunity to lead again at the Patriot on Saturday. I decided that my Q would be more in the Iron Academy tradition than Roxanne’s Q the week before. We netted around 3 miles on October 13th. I’m not quite a 5k a day runner yet.
We had four PAX including myself at 7 o’clock and proceeded into…
15 Side Straddle Hops
15 Right over Left, 15 Left over Right, cross chest stretches and back stretches.
10 Peter Parkers, 10 Parker Peters alternated twice with
10 Murcans, 10 Diamond Murcans, and 5 Wide Arm Murcans
We then moseyed down to the track, which is where I broke with my plan.
We bear crawled up the ramp and ran back down the stairs, a la Bill Nye. No one quite came close to his prowess. R/R 2 times
Next we broke it down with 10 low slow squats and 20 calf raises R/R 2 times
We then ran two laps paired up, doing 5 murcans each time we were caught. Jelly pointed out this was basically running with burpees. He was right.
After we finished that misery, and a 10 count, we did 15 Carolina Dry Docks, 10 Mack Tarjais, and 15 lunges Rinse and Repeat.
We then rap one lap again just because. After that was done, I gave a word on fairness and perceived unfairness being God’s call for us to engage and be intentional about making the word a better place. I think it made sense, but I was short on air.
Next we ran across to Sullivan where we held a People’s chair while each of the PAX talked about whatever they wanted to for 10 or so seconds. Finally we headed back to the COT and did some Prison Cell Murcans and an Ab Lab.
Thanks to Red October for the opportunity to lead!
