Coming off of Ragnar I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do on this particular morning but when I caught the word that my Uncle Jackhammer (Gerald Ghent-Respect) was VQing at Independence the plan was already made.
We had 12 fine HIMS gather at Old Town so we began with some simple stretches like LOR and ROL. Then we did a few Cherry Pickers to loosen up the lower back. Turned on our headlamps and ran to Independence for some Respect!
Funny enough….it must be in the Ghent blood….Jackhammer was leading a warm up and they were doing Cherry Pickers?!
Jackhammer lead us over to Byrnes Auditorium where we did a series of Calf Raises, LBC’s, Dirkins, Merkins, Squats, Irkins, and Freddy Mercury’s. We ran a lap around Byrnes between each set. I think we did 3 or 4 sets. We then moseyed past the Amphitheater and each chose a stone for some Curls and Overhead Presses. We then did 40 dips in the pit at the bottom of the amphitheater.
Old Town Pax had to leave at this point to get back to the COT to wrap it up. I wonder what we missed?
I am thankful! I am thankful for men who care for each other, lead each other, challenge each other, support each other, pray for each other, push each other, and encourage each other. We are all one big family. Seeing my Uncle lead Independence put that into perspective. Thanks for letting us join the party at Independence Jackhammer. It’s awesome sharing the gloom with family!
