It never did rain

5 HIMS’s of the Rock Region gathered this evening to post at the evening AO known as N@M.  It had been a while since I last posted here so YHC arrived early and did a little pre-run recon effort and rolled up on Slow Pitch getting in a pre run of his own.  He was good enough to take me to some of the hidden gems at this expansive AO and then went out for a run of his own.  As the appointed hour drew near the 5 of us gathered to get started.  When I had arrived, it looked like it might rain, so YHC hatched a plan to take care of the PAX in a covered area but then the skies cleared and stayed off the whole time so we kicked off as planned and then went exploring.  After a brief warm-up, we headed across the street to the covered area and began with some core exercises to get started.  Exercises included were chopsticks, Freddie Mercuries, LBC’s and Rosalitas.  With our cores fully engaged and the sky clearing even more, we rolled back across the street to some picnic benches and did a set of Irkins – dips – Irkins, followed by a set of small circle calf raises.  With heavy legs, we rolled across Museum Rd. to the other adjacent school and gathered in the small lot near the road for a set of 11’s, burpees on one end & Diamond Merkins on the other.  After a quick recovery we gathered at the wall and got in the People’s chair and did 10 Merkins each down the line.  This was followed by a set of bat wings (great shoulder burner).  Then we went up to the front of the school in search of a flag to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, but the flag had been taken down.  We were near the front covered entrance so we did Toy soldiers down, followed by butt kickers back, followed by shuffle down and shuffle back.  We ended up at the bottom of the hill at the front entrance and jail broke up and slow roll back X 2.  Time was getting short so we headed back to the AO and recited the Pledge at the shovel flag, which was led by Sapper.  We closed with Name a Rama, announcements, prayer requests & praises.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to post at N@M, you should give it a try.  The AO is awesome with lots of space to roam.  We barely scratched the surface tonight but YHC had a blast.  Thanks Slow Pitch for the opportunity to lead and thanks for your leadership
