The Thang

We moseyed across the street to the Good Year shop for a set of Elevens.  We started with 10 merkins in front of the store, ran around back and up the hill to do 1 squat.  We completed the loop to do 9 & 2, 8 & 3 …

We moseyed over to the center of the adjacent parking lot for Dora 1-2-3 meets Burpee Suicides.  We partnered up for this routine.  One partner ran to the first parking lot line and performed 1 burpee, while the other performed the prescribed exercise (all counts are cumulative).  The partners flap jacked and did 1 burpee and exercise, Each partner did 2 burpees at second line, 3 burpees at third line and 4 burpees at the far end of the parking lot.  If the prescribed exercises were not complete each pair would start the suicides over again at 1 until finished with the exercises.

  • 100 CDD’s
  • 100 Monkey Humpers
  • 100 LBC’s

We moseyed over to the corner building with the set of stairs for some partner stair work.  With the same partner, one partner performed the prescribed exercise while the other ran up the staircase on the right, bear crawled along the walkway on the second deck and ran back down the staircase on the left.  The partners then flapjacked.

  • Lunges
  • Leg Throws
  • Plank

We moseyed back to the AO for the COT.  I spoke a bit about the change.  I gave each pax a coin and said that we all go through changes in our lives, some good, some bad, some planned, and some unexpected.  The inscription, “In God We Trust” is on each coin and it can serve as a reminder that we have a God that we can trust cares about us in all circumstances.  I went on to share my favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Even in times of trouble when things seem bleak, He cares for us and will protect us from harm.

We finished with the count-o-rama, name-o-rama, announcements and prayer requests & praises.  I closed the COT with prayer.

Thank you, Pescadore for the opportunity to lead.  As always, it is an honor and privilege.
