For us…but for Him.

The opportunity to Q a workout always benefits the Q but it’s not for the Q only. It is for the PAX, the Region, the Nation.  This sounds familiar doesn’t it? It’s the chance to share a word and influence the beginning of the day for the good of all!  It is quite frankly an opportunity to change the world!

When you begin to see this and know it you will then enter the reality and the purpose of this whole thing called F3.

I would like to think that this framework for good comes from another model.  A divine model.

God the Father, Author and Creator of all of life itself, sent His son to make Himself known.  He did this after we messed it all up in the beginning (The Garden) by trying to Glorify ourselves instead of following His perfect design and purpose to dwell with Him.  When we loose sight of purpose and reason we focus on ourselves.  This leads to either building oneself up too much or tearing oneself down too much.  I share this as one who struggles with all these tendencies and tensions on a daily basis.  I have not arrived anywhere and never will without other men and accountability that will help pull me along the way.

All we have to remember is that none of this is about us.

I shared these thoughts with Jester, Smokey, and PCH as we stood at the top of the Hot Box to warm up and stretch.

We moseyed back to the bottom of the Hotbox.

The Thang:

Run to each level and 25 reps of the following exercises until we made it back to the top.  We each took a turn calling exercises:

LBC’s

Pipe Presses

Forearm Planks (whatever Gauge calls these)

Mountain Climbers

Leg Lifts

I can’t remember what everyone called but it worked.

We moseyed to Glencarin Garden where we did:

10 Lunges

5 Big Boy Sit Ups

5 Wide Arms Merkins

5 Burpees

Faced The Flag for The Pledge of Allegiance.

We circled the garden to Charlotte Avenue and we ran past the HotBox and right onto Main Street where we found the rest of the PAX (runners and striders)

It was great to see Subzero, Sapper, Samurai, and 155 this morning.  We had three groups of ironsharpening taking place and there was something good for every man present.
