You are the branches

10 HIM’s of the Rock Region unfartsacked themselves on a humid foggy morning and decided to come post at The Veteran.  The Veteran is a great AO and if you haven’t made it out there yet or in a while, come post, here there just so you post somewhere – more on that later.  Taking a look at the group before me this morning I decided that we would mostly be running today.  I announced my plans to the group as the 0500 hour approached.  We all had a good laugh when Sub Zero rolled in about 20 seconds into the warm-up and Apache told him we need 20 burps for rolling in hot.  Continuing with the warm-up which included SSH, Seal Jacks and Wind mills, it was time to head out

The Thang –

I announced to the PAX today that my plan was to roll out through all the building and hit all the parking lots in the Waterford business park but keep the PAX together above all.  If any of the speedy guys wanted to hit it harder, not a problem, just make sure you come back and pick up the six.  We hit each of the parking lots best that I recall and stopped a time or two for a set of Merkins and some planks.  The mumblechatter today was great and all the PAX did a great job.  Halfway though the run, we stopped at a set of flag poles and Popeye led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  As the 0550 hour approached we finished up at the AO and altogether we got in about 5 miles or so (+/-).  YHC shared the following verse with the PAX

John 15:5

I am the vine and you are the branches.  If you remain in me & I in you, you will bear much fruit.  Apart from me you can do nothing.

YHC shared with the PAX that all too often we have 2 lives – the one we project in public & the real one.  I encourage the men to BE the life we project – treat others with kindness, respect.  Love our wives as God loves us

I closed out the morning with T-claps to our brother Sub-Zero for stepping out of his comfort zone & posting this day at The Veteran.  I encouraged the PAX (and you if you are reading this) to post somewhere new or different this week.  If there’s an AO you’ve never been to – go post.  If there’s an AO you haven’t been to in a while – go post.  Step out of your routine – step out of your comfort zone.

We closed with announcements, prayers & praises
