I read some scriupture with emphasis on the “Battle is not against flesh and blood” section. Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.
We then partnered up with one partner running to Subway and back before switching off. The other partner would do AMRAP merkins x2, dips on benches/curb x2, and LBC’s x2. Each PAX ran to Subway and back 6 times and did two sets each of merkins, dips, and LBC’s.
More scripture: Ephesians 6:14 Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
Belt of Truth – girded up tunic for running; fighting. Belt symbolizes integrity (truth) holds other pieces in place. We can’t win without integrity.
Breastplate of Righteousness – symbolizes purity and protects our hearts from demonic attacks. Satan knows just where the cracks are and will use them to tempt us. We can’t win without pure hearts.
Gospel Shoes of Peace – symbolizes tranquility. shoes to take us anywhere and everywhere the Lord wills, despite Satan tossing obstacles at us. We can’t win without the peace of God over our lives.
We then moseyed over to Honeybaked Ham a lined up on the parking line
We alternated exercises to each line: Bear crawl to first line, crab walk to the second, duck walk to the third, and frog hop to the fourth.
After a 10 count we started an arm workout – big circles forward x10 IC and back x10 IC, vertical arm circles x10 IC, and Moroccan night clubs x10 IC all without lowering our arms.
More scripture: Ephesians 6:16 In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.
Shield of faith – symbolizes our certainty. Shield covered in leather and dipped in water to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. We can’t win if there are seeds of doubt in our hearts.
Helmet of salvation – symbolizes our sanity. This begins when we accept Christ in our hearts. When it comes to your salvation, you have to know that you know that you know. We can’t win if we aren’t saved.
Sword of the Spirit – the Bible; God’s word. When defending against Satan’s temptations in Luke 4, Jesus Himself used scripture to win that battle. We can’t win without God’s word in our hearts.
We then moseyed to the loading dock beside Office Depot where we did wall sits with PAX on each end doing 5 merkins and continuing in until the center PAX was reached. We rested for a moment and then repeated.
We then moseyed over to the Hong Kong restaurant before jailbreaking back to the COT

Prayers/Praises: Prayers for Herbie and his M, Oglethorpe and his M, and Vuvuzela and his son.
Final word: Spirit of Prayer – everyone misses this one. It’s integral to every other piece of armor. We can’t win if we don’t stay connected to God.

Until next time (TBD) White Hat out!
