One Week and a few days! We have about 173 folks signed up at the moment which is amazing!
We will be looking to get started right around 7am, there will not be a warm up. We will however have Popeye speaking at the beginning.
Once Popeye has spoken I will give some final rules for the race. You should have you first runner prepped at this time.
The Rooster Relay
Also just as a note here each person on your team will complete five solo laps over the course of the race. Once each person on your team has completed the 5 laps then your whole team will run one final lap together.
Ultra and Ruck Teams you can complete your laps as you see fit. Ultra Teams you must come to the transition point each time even if you do not swap to another runner. Ruckers you are allowed to partner your laps, meaning that you will get credit for running two laps for each lap you ruck together. This will make the time for you to finish move up a lot faster.
We have a hard stop time of 11:30. So if by three and a half hours into the event you still have many more miles to complete you can partner up in groups of two to finish faster.
REMEMBER THIS EVENT IS RUN AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please be safe and keep your safety at the forefront as well as others.
With the large turn out we do want to be considerate of the parking spaces at the coliseum.
So here is what we are asking of you:
Please Clown Car(Carpool) in, whether you are local or coming from an hour away the less cars, the less space we take up at the stadium, the better.
So ride together if you can.
On Eden Terrace Right outside the Coliseum entrance you will see a sign for the event.
Food/Non-Event Lake goers/Bathrooms
Also we will be out there for a few hours so feel free to bring snacks and water to hydrate during the break periods that you have.
We know that many teams will be transitioning quickly, we also need to be aware of some non-event folks using the path at the lake. Be courteous to them as you pass,
as members of F3/FIA we are expected to leave a place better then we found it. So let’s hold to that. Please bring chairs to sit in, and jackets to keep warm if you need them. We will be attempting to setup a warming tent for those preparing to enter or those leaving the course.
We will have two Porta-Johns onsite, If you are like me I tend to go about 26 times per event, thanks BRR/P200.
Post Race we will be meeting at the Roasting Company Rock Hill for our 2nd F: Google Maps Direction We plan on meeting there a little after 12 and you can stay as long as you want.
Additional T-Shirt Order
Wanted to also mention shirt orders are back open, this second round will not make it to you before the event. This however allows you to pick up this awesome shirt once more.
As usual with MudGear 12 shirts means that we go to production. https://f3.mudgear.com/products/f3-rooster-csaup-event-pre-order?variant=4163314712617
We are collecting Blankets and Coats as an effort to give back to the community during this cold winter season. If you have used blankets or coats that you are looking to get rid of, please bring them to the event to donate. We are also collecting new Socks and Underwear if you feel led to purchase those items.
Check In/Transition Bands
We will be providing wrist bands for transitioning between teammates, you will be responsible for tracking your time. You will get these bands at the time your team checks in. Make sure that you use these at all times during the race to transition between team members.
At the end you will write your team Name and Total Time on the wrist band and turn in for results. (This is an honor based system, please keep your team time throughout the event).
If you have any other questions or have replacement needs for team members let us know. There will be a few folks without a team joining us. So at anytime you need a sub we may
be able to accommodate you!
