YHC arrived at The Commons early on bitterly cold morning to do a little setup work for the Q. It was a late arriving crowd probably to avoid being in the cold as long as possible. By crowd I mean five. I promised that we would stay on the move to try to stay “warm.”
After the disclaimer was given, we started with a few warm up exercises, Side Straddle Hops, Windmills, Imperial Walkers and Cherry Pickers all IC.
With that we were off on a mosey to the Westminster Presbyterian Church parking lot where I had setup 12 different pain stations Carolina Dry Docks, American Hammers, Merkins, LBC’s, Left Arm Extended Merkins, Freddy Mercuries, Right Arm Extended Merkins, Flutter Kicks, Diamond Merkins, Hello Dollies, Wide Arm Merkins and Rosalitas. Each rotation was 25 each OYO. After each rotation the pax would take a lap around the center island of the parking lot. After the first rotation Honey Pot announced that he needed to take care of his morning constitutional, so he took off to parts unknown to take care of business.
We finished all twelve rotations headed back towards the AO. Along the way Honey Pot rejoined us feeling refreshed I’m sure, but we didn’t really stop to discuss it. We stopped at the parking lot of Michael’s Grille for a couple rounds of Four Corners. I’m not sure I’m 100% correct on remembering the exercises we performed because I made it up as we went along and I waited three days to do the backblast.
First round the exercises were Squats, Bobby Hurleys, Lunges and Squat Jumps – 20 OYO. From corner to corner we ran, side shuffled, nurred and side shuffled while we stayed facing Charlotte Ave.
Second round the exercises were LBC’s, American Hammers, Dying Cockroaches and Freddie Mercuries – 20 OYO. This time from corner to corner we ran, cariocaed, nurred and cariocaed again stayed facing Charlotte Ave.
We moseyed back to the AO taking the long way around the back side of The Commons Plaza to the side walk of adjacent street, along the side walk on Cherry Road back to the corner where Blue Print plants the flag.
We finished out the morning with the count-o-rama, name-o-rama (I do not have the video to include as my phone ran out of battery power because of the cold), announcements and prayer requests & praises.
YHC closed things out with prayer.
Even in the cold weather, I consider it an honor and privilege to lead.
