We stretched for a minute then I asked Reborn to take us to Glencairn Garden. At a 7:30 pace you can’t really call it a mosey.
On the swings we did derkins and dips, followed by a lunge walk into the darkness of the gloom to talk about light and leadership from where you are. There is a plan. It may not be your plan and you may not see how all the parts come together, but there is one. Your job as a leader is to do the best you can with what you have.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Mosey to Confederate Park tennis courts. Just in time for the train whistle 10 Burpees, OYO. Followed by suicides from one side of the courts to the other, doing a Burpee at each new line. LBCs for the six.
Pause for a moment and emphasize that there is a plan. Understanding does not come quickly or easily. There will be tests and trials. It will be difficult. But, faith and hard work will see you through. No man is tested beyond his ability and eventually your time will come. Your actions impact others- you are already a leader. Whether you choose to be or not.
1 Peter 5:6–7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you
1st Corinthians 10:13
No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.
Grab a partner and mosey to the playground for 10 uneven merkans (either on the swings or rocking horses) while your partner does big boy sit ups.
Mosey to the AO for some Mary, some broga, and the COT.
My time will come. Yours will too. Until then we have a responsibility to our friends and family to be high impact men. When we “become leaders” that responsibility does not diminish. And a title does not make a man a leader. You are who you are, regardless of where you are. Make it someone worth knowing.
